The Zagg InvisibleSHIELD protective cover for the HTC EVO 4G is a slickly designed transparent film that promises to protect your brand new smart phone from any scratches that might damage the shiny exterior. But does it really live up to the hype?

After spending a huge amount of money on a fancy new gadget, the last thing you want to do is scratch the screen. It’s important that any protective cover totally protects the phone. After extensive testing, I can confirm that the InvisibleSHIELD has incredible protective powers. I took a craft knife to the screen and scratched it vigorously, and even after that vicious assault the phone was totally damage free. Even the InvisibleSHIELD itself was totally free of marks and scratches. Now that’s what I call protection!

As well as offering an uncompromised barrier to scrapes and scratches, the InvisibleSHIELD really lives up to its name. It really does seem to be almost invisible. The film is totally transparent, and incredibly thin. When you hold the htc EVO 4G in your hand after protecting it with the InvisibleSHIELD, you can hardly notice it’s there. The unobtrusiveness of the thin film is even more impressive when you consider the powerful protection it gives. With protection like this, you’d expect it to be more like a suit of heavy armor than a skimpy, transparent slip!

There is absolutely no change to the function of the phone. The touch screen still works perfectly without any noticeable difference to the texture, and all external cables connect as if the InvisibleSHIELD wasn’t even there.

Installing the InvisibleSHIELD onto your htc EVO 4G is exceptionally easy. You just peel a section of the film from the paper backing, spray it with the provided solution, and carefully place it on to the face of the htc EVo 4G. After applying the film it takes around five minutes before it will hold tight, giving you plenty of time to smooth it out and remove air bubbles with the included squeegee.

The InvisibleSHIELD kit for the htc EVO 4G comes in two forms, the full body (which protects all over the phone) and the screen coverage only. Although it’s slightly more expensive, I’d have to recommend the full body kit. It’s the best way to keep the whole phone looking brand new.

So if you want to protect your htc EVO 4G from scrapes, scratches or marks, and keep your shiny new gadget looking shiny and new, buy the Zagg InvisibleSHIELD now!
